The commissioners were sacked after the monthly state executive council meeting in Damaturu and no reason was given by the governor for the action.
Those affected include Alhaji Yerima Aji-Bularafa, Commissioner for Higher Education, that of Health, Hajiya Fatsuma Talba and the Commissioner for Sports Development, Alhaji Yusuf Yahaya.
Others were, Alhaji Musa Dumburi; Youth Development, Alhaji Ahmed Wakil-Sarki; Environment and Alhaji Bala Haladu; Transport and Energy.
Gaidam commended them for their contributions to the development of the state, adding that they may be called again to serve the government in other capacities.
NAN reports that the former commissioners have served as cabinet members for between three to 10 years.
