Kim Kardashian, 33, and Kanye West, 36, are officially engaged after dating for over a year and becoming parents to daughter North West. You’ll never guess how Kanye romantically popped the question.

Kanye put a ring on it — on a very special day! Kanye proposed to Kim on her 33rd birthday, making an engagement the best present on all.

“Kanye wanted to make Kim’s birthday something she would never forget. Kim is on cloud nine and couldn’t have asked for anything more on her day. She is in a great place with her child healthy and happy, and now getting engaged seals the deal on her happiness,” a source reveals. “When it comes to Kanye and marrying him, her thoughts are, ‘Three’s a charm.’”

Kanye rented out the AT&T Park in San Francisco, CA, and proposed in front of friends and family — and an orchestra, E! reported. The band played Kanye’s song with Ne-Yo and Keri Hilson, “Knock You Down,” as well as Lana Del Rey‘s “Young and Beautiful.” The stadium’s jumbotron also read,”PLEEEASE MARRY MEEE!!!” So romantic!

Kanye also presented his bride-to-be with a diamond sparkler from jeweler and close family friend Lorraine Schwartz! Fireworks finished off the celebration. Now that’s how it’s done!

We’re so excited for the adorable family of three — especially since we knew that Kanye told Kim and fans at his Oct. 20 concert that he was going to marry her!

Kanye West Told Fans He Wanted To Marry Kim Kardashian

Before he took the stage in Seattle to kick off his Yeezus concert, Kanye announced to Kim and a crowd of fans that he’s planning to put a ring on her finger — one day before he proposed!

“One day I’m going to marry you,” Kanye said to Kim in front of the group.  That day might have come sooner than Kim thought it would!

“Isn’t my girl the most beautiful woman ever — no, I mean ever? One day she’s going to be my wife,” Kanye stated, another lucky fan told us. We’re told Kim blushed from ear to ear and said, “Kaaaanye. You’re too much,” and gave him a kiss!

Kim began dating Kanye shortly after ending her marriage to Kris Humphries. The newly engaged duo have been friends for many years, but a romance did not officially come to be until after Kim filed for divorce from Kris on October 31, 2011. The couple’s daughter, North, was born on June 15.
