Robert Hunter, 35, of Middlesbrough, England, pleaded guilty to posing as the young celebrity, thereby getting hundreds of underage children worldwide to strip for him.
Hunter was caught after one girl in Australia realized what he was doing, and alerted authorities.
At his house, authorities found 800 pornographic videos and photos of children, some as young as 9-years-old.
“Hunter used a number of aliases online. He faked his age, and pretended to be a teenager. He also used fake photos and claiming it was of himself. He also convinced some young kids that he was the music artist Justin Bieber,” prosecutor Richard Bennett said.
After the children sent him photos of themselves in compromising positions, Hunter then blackmailed them into sending him more photos and videos by saying that he would make public videos of them stripping and /or performing sex acts if they did not send him what he asked for.
Hunter pleaded guilty to 15 counts of causing or inciting children to engage in sexual activity and 14 counts of making indecent photos of children.
