Britney Spears: I'm Taking a Break "For a While" After 'Britney Jean' Album

The "Work Bitch" singer, who now has her plate full with an upcoming eighth studio album and a residency gig at Las Vegas' Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, says she's planning to step away from the public spotlight after it's all said and done.

Speaking with BBC Radio 1, Spears told DJ Nick Grimshaw that she would've never imagined making music 14 years since her debut album.

"No I never did, I never felt that," she said, laughing. "Never in my wildest dreams ... I'll take a break after this one for a while."

"It's very exciting, and this album is different from any other album I've done," the songstress added. "It's very moody and electric and different so, it's pretty cool. It's really nerve-racking cause you spend so much time on it and you've been really dedicated to this album ... So it's like my baby coming to life."

Spears' new record, titled Britney Jean, will drop on Dec. 3.
